October 4, 2011: Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction

Henry Sokolski serves on, "Current and Future WMD Proliferation Problems" panel for Southern Methodist University's John G. Tower Center for Political Studies' fourth annual conference of the Tower Center Program on National Security & Defense.

The conference, "Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction," is taking place on October 4, 2011 from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

June 15, 2011: Atoms for Peace in the Middle East: What Might Go Wrong

NPEC staff participated in a panel which was part of a larger conference titled, "Moving Toward a Region Free of Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Middle East: Challenges for 2012." This was co-hosted by George Washington University's Elliot School of International Affairs and the Institute for National Security Studies.

NPEC and the Federation of American Scientists hosted  "After Fukushima: Rethinking the Case for Nuclear Power's Expansion" to discuss how the U.S. government should weigh the claimed environmental, economic, safety and security benefits and costs of nuclear power's global proliferation.
